A few things we stand for
Your data
We store your account and contact details to run the marketplace. Your username, published adverts and review comments are public. Your first and last name are private: only you and marketplace staff see them. Contact numbers are disclosed through the listing’s contact controls.
Hosting, sign-in and AI providers process the data needed for their services. Listing text, photos and visual video content may be processed for moderation, translation and search. Enhance processes the details you submit to suggest improved wording.
To help detect misuse, we may record sign-ins, viewed listings, searches and contact requests, along with IP addresses and approximate country and network information.
Personalization is on by default. While it is on, we keep the listings you view and the searches you make for personalization, and the listings you view help order the listings you see first. To turn it off, open your account and go to Edit profile, where you can also reset its data. Resetting personalization does not erase safety records or investigation evidence.
Safety, activity and investigation records are kept under the marketplace’s retention settings. Records tied to an active investigation may be retained longer. Resetting personalization does not delete your account or its safety history. To delete your account, open Account and choose Delete account, then confirm with a code sent to your phone. We delete it 14 days later unless you sign in and keep it; people you chatted with keep their copy of the conversation without your name. We keep safety records such as reports and bans for 1 year after that, then delete them.
